In countries where restrictive laws create barriers, comprehensive and rights-based gender-focused sexuality education struggles to reach its intended audiences, especially adolescent girls and women residing in low-income, underdeveloped communities. This unfortunate situation contributes to alarmingly high rates of injuries and mortality among women and girls. Negative religious and cultural beliefs and practices further discourage family and community support for women and girls in accessing essential Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) education and services within African countries.

Recognizing these challenges, our innovative approach centers on economic liberation and reproductive justice as powerful tools for empowering girls and women. We provide them with the necessary training and resources to make informed decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health, as well as economic growth. This not only helps mitigate health risks and mortality but also alleviates financial oppression.

We are actively mobilizing women’s organizations at the community level to ensure that crucial public health education messages on risk and prevention reach all women and girls. Our goal is to champion their rights to bodily autonomy and economic growth, fostering a more equitable and empowered future for all.
